We often don’t take the time to stop and ask ourselves how we are doing. Some days we don’t even remember what we had for lunch.
Checking in with yourself is a way of addressing what you may be needing or lacking. It can improve your mood, energy, relationships, and productivity.
Physical and Emotional Needs
- What do I need at this moment?
- How am I feeling today?
- How can I be gentle with myself?
- What’s taking up most of my headspace right now?
- Do I feel physically and emotionally safe?
Identifying Problems
- What am I holding onto that is no longer serving me?
- Are my actions or behaviors reflecting the values or beliefs that I hold?
- What can I let go of that’s getting in the way of my health and well-being?
- Would getting professional help me feel better?
Self-Care
- What am I doing today to feel good?
- How can I show myself love?
- What have I done lately to feel happier?
- What can I thank myself for?
- What can I forgive myself for?
Habits and Routines
- What/when was my last meal?
- Has anything changed in my life that is affecting my eating or sleeping habits?
- How much sleep did I get last night?
- Did I move my body today?
